ABOUT THE ROLE
As College Nurse you will report to the Deputy Principal - People and Culture but is accountable to the College Principal for reportable matters pertaining to the health and wellbeing of staff and students at the College.
Operationally you will work independently in the College Wellness Centre, performing a range of clinical and administrative duties including the provision of first aid as the designated officer, as well as specialised and intimate care for students, management, monitoring and administration of medications to students, maintenance of student medical records and maintenance of first aid supplies and facilities for the College.
Strategically you work with the College and families to identify and implement reasonable adjustments for students with health needs, train college staff to safely and competently support student health needs and health procedures and support the College to meet our obligations to students with health conditions on enrolment or as an emergent need.
This role is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Nurse to work collaboratively within an inclusive College community to address the barriers to learning for children and young people, improving their educational outcomes and achievements, and social and emotional wellbeing.
This is a 39-week term time role, with the successful candidate required to work Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm to meet the needs of students in our thriving Prep to Year 12 College.

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency – AHPRA).
- A commitment to the vision, mission, and values of the College as a Ministry of the Uniting Church.
- Demonstrated skills working as an enrolled or registered nurse with children and adolescents within a community, youth or educational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise providing nursing services and advice tailored to meet the health care needs of school aged children including those with acute or chronic conditions.
- A careful regard for professional and ethical nursing practice including a strong duty of care for children and young people.
- A demonstrated commitment to providing confidential and evidence-based services.
