Finance Officer (Payables and Procurement)

This is a full-time fixed term contract for the period Monday 28 April to Friday 20 June 2025 to support an extended leave of absence within the Finance Team. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site, Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

ABOUT THE ROLE

All members of the College Community are committed to being stewards in how we meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to come.

As Finance Officer your stewardship of the College will see you working to support and improve the health and strength of the College’s cash flow and bottom line by ensuring that established procurement procedures and accounts payable processes work closely together to ensure efficacy, cost control and accuracy.

Candidates must address the following selection criteria as part of their application.

  1. Demonstrated procurement and/or accounts payable skills.
  2. Attention to detail including a high level of accuracy and process adherence.
  3. Proficient computer literacy, including a working knowledge and application of the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. excel, word, outlook).
  4. Previous experience using a financial management system (ideally TASS and Xero), will be considered favourably.
  5. Qualification in business, finance and /or accounting, is desirable.
  6. An understanding of bookkeeping and accounting skills.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and collaborative engagement and decision-making with internal and external stakeholders of the College.
  8. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and negotiate solutions with stakeholders
