Future, Ready, Set, Go!

We are incredibly proud of our Year 12 graduates from the 2024 cohort, many of whom have already secured early offers for their first-choice university courses. This achievement speaks to the dedication, talent and ambition of our students and the unwavering support of our school community.

A special acknowledgment goes to one of our students who, through the START QUT program, has been pursuing university-level coursework during their senior years at TLC. They successfully completed two Engineering-based subjects—achieving a Distinction in Engineering Design and Professions Practice and a High Distinction in Introductory Engineering Mathematics. This impressive accomplishment not only reflects their academic excellence but also highlights the range of opportunities available to Lakes Learners, allowing them to engage in advanced study while still in high school.

At The Lakes College, our commitment is to ensure that every student graduates with purpose and a wealth of opportunities. Through consultation with our community, we have developed a holistic understanding of the qualities, skills, and values we believe our Lakes Learners should embody. Our approach is focused on four core capabilities: generating knowledge, sparking curiosity, building character and fostering meaningful connections. These capabilities equip our students to make meaningful contributions in their post-school lives, both in their communities and beyond.
