Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2025 - 2026

The Lakes College is proud to introduce our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), launched at our First Nations Family Yarn in February 2025. This plan reaffirms our commitment to reconciliation through the key themes of Relationships, Respect and Opportunities, guided by our core values of Love, Justice and Community. We recognise the diversity, histories and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and seek to build meaningful relationships that foster understanding and connection. Through deepening cultural learning and creating a positive, empowering environment, we embrace self-determination and unconditional positive regard for all. By honouring the contributions of First Nations peoples and strengthening our shared future, we continue to pave the way toward true reconciliation.

Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation, we respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the Pine Rivers and Moreton Bay region who for thousands of years met in this place to yarn, trade, live and learn. We recognise the importance of the waterways, land and sky and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
